Deck the Halls...

Yesterday Melody and I went shopping and we ended up in the Christmas section of Hobby Lobby...

It started off just browsing around looking and admiring of this year's Christmas decorations, which there are about 10 aisles. We were slowly letting the Christmas spirit rise up in us as we glided down the aisle completely adverting from what we went into the store to do. Finally, we ended up on the Christmas tree aisle. WOW... what a great place!!!! We were picking out which tree we wanted to put in "our" place. (which we don't have so we have decided to decorate Dustan's apartment with our Christmas selections) We were choosing our tree... a pre-lit tree that has pine cones on it and that it 9ft tall. It was perfect!!!!!!
Then we realized that yes Dustan does have a 9ft ceiling but that is only at it's highest peak. Shucks! So we decided on the exact replica of our beloved tree, just one of the 7.5ft height. Not quite as impressive but still had a lot of excitement.
From there Melody and I take it upon ourselves to decorate "our" tree in the middle of the store with the decorations that we liked to see how we thought it'd look... and trust me if we had a ladder that tree would have had a star on top!!!!!
With all the Christmas excitement we bought 3 ornaments each to prepare for this Holiday season and are prepared to do this often until we have enough to make our tree prefect!!!

Can we say jumping the gun on the holiday season?!?!? .... and I thought the family in Lincolnton who puts their full Christmas decorations up including tree, outside lights and everything and turns them on Halloween was getting an early start!
